Mindset Monday: Longevity Mindset
A Longevity Mindset is about taking ownership of your health and thinking long-term. It means embracing the technologies and massive medical advancements that can and will extend your healthspan. The longer you operate at peak capacity, the greater your possible contributions to society.

From me:
“To date, we’ve only seen maybe 10% of all the possible longevity-extending technologies that will impact us in the decade ahead…”

From the world:
“If you get very fine, accurate, and inexpensive control over your genome, you can fundamentally change the kind of organism you are. You are extending human capacity.”
- George Church, Ph.D. (Professor of Genomics at Harvard Medical School) [Tweet]
Data-Driven Optimism:
Researchers at the Koch Institute for Integrative Cancer Research at MIT developed a new machine deep-learning approach to classifying cancers of unknown primary through gene expression programs that identify developmental pathways to tumor cells. [Tweet]
A thought exercise for the week:
Our bodies were never meant to consume such an abundance of food at all times. Short-term fasts improve metabolism by up to 14%.
I do a morning fast by not eating breakfast. Instead, I typically have a morning cup of coffee (or two). Then, I eat lunch around 1 pm and an early dinner around 6 pm. My goal is to fast for 18 hours until lunch the next day.
What type of fasting would you be interested in to increase your healthspan? [Tweet]
Question of the week:
What do you try to actively tackle the most to improve your health? |
Until next week,
