MINDset Monday: Gratitude Mindset
One of the major challenges we all have today is a pervasive sense of “overwhelm.” An increasing abundance of opportunities and a dizzying rate of technological progress can often blind us to many of the simple joys in our lives. A Gratitude Mindset involves regularly making the shift from Expectation to Appreciation, and from Overwhelm to Thankfulness.

From me:
“Being grateful is recognizing that we’re living in the most extraordinary time in history—that today is better than yesterday, and that tomorrow will be better still.” [Tweet]
From the world:
“You cannot have a positive life and a negative mind.”
– Joyce Meyer (author) [Tweet]
Data-Driven Optimism
In the late 1800s, humans were working over 80 hours a week just to survive, while today, we work an average of 40 hours a week, with our daily average leisure time (295 min) being even longer than our time at work (231 min). [Tweet]

A thought exercise for the week:
Implement this simple gratitude practice in your mornings: think about what it would be like for you to be 30% more grateful and 30% happier today. Imagine what impact this would have on those around you. I encourage you to set that as a goal for yourself for the following week!
Until next week,
