Meditation: Reflect on the benefit of an exponential mindset…

The incremental mindset focuses on improving something in the near-term, while the exponential mindset focuses on reinventing everything in the long-term. [Tweet]

Inspiration: On thinking exponentially…

"An analysis of the history of technology shows that technological change is exponential, contrary to the common-sense ‘intuitive linear’ view. So we won’t experience 100 years of progress in the 21st century—it will be more like 20,000 years of progress (at today’s rate)." – Ray Kurzweil, Co-Founder, Singularity University [Tweet]

Numeration: An example of exponential growth today…

The market share of solar and wind in global electricity generation grew at a compound average annual growth rate of 15 percent from 2015-2020. If exponential growth continued at this rate, solar and wind would reach 45 percent of electricity generation by 2030 and 100 percent by 2033. [Tweet]

Direction: A challenge to improve your exponential thinking…

Here’s a challenge: take something that is standard procedure in your business to achieve results (for example, it takes you x days to achieve x result) and attempt to achieve the same result in half the time. If you fail, try again. If you succeed, repeat the task- but instead of halving the time, double the expected results.

Until next week,
